On saturday afternoon NRT brothers Adam and Reece Egner travelled over to Harby to do the VC Lincoln 3/4 EMRRL road race.
It was a flat course of 6 laps, kermesse like in its nature and it was full gas from the go. Both brothers had a couple of go’s off the front before Reece managed to go clear solo for a lap before being brought back into the bunch. The laps passed with a lone rider holding out but with 2 laps to go he was brought back, so Adam saw his opportunity and attacked straight over the top with 1 other rider.
They quickly established a gap and despite 1 rider bridging across to make it a trio, they held on for a sprint finish. Adam bode his time feeling strong and then when he launched, he managed to quickly get a handsome gap which would see him take his 1st senior race win and also bag his 2nd category license, with Reece just missing out on the points in 11th place. A great days racing for the Egner brothers.
