Latest Lincs League round took place at Ingham on a cold wet evening although the rain did mercifully stop while the racing was on. A reduced field of around 40 riders tackled 7.5 laps of the relatively short circuit although it does include the short but steep climb at Brattleby up the Lincoln edge
Simon Cocker set off with around 12 riders in group 2 which immediately starting working well together and made really good use of its handicap to just hold of the remnants of group 3 on the line. Simon finished 7th after not being able to hold the younger members of the group on the last climb of the hill with 1 km to go. Paul Conneely finished just behind with group 3. Peter Cocker (PedalPushers) and Jim Coleman (PedalPushers) were in a seven strong scratch group but despite driving the group for the entire race were still around 1 minute behind the first riders at the finish, with only one other scratch rider surviving with them.
