The 7th round of the Lincolnshire cyclo-cross league was held at the traditional venue of Hubbards Hills at Louth in the middle of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The recent rain had left the course quite muddy in places and with a climb of almost 200ft in elevation each lap, this event always turns into a race of attrition.
Amy Kolbert continued her domination of the youth events taking another win in the U14/U16 girls categories. Younger brother Max couldn’t quite hold onto the leader in the under 92 but finished a strong second just 20 seconds down. While Isla Kolbert had to take second in the under 12 girls with Rhys Browne 9th under 12 boy.
In the veterans Paul Conneely was the best of the club riders getting a fast start but falling back in the heavy conditions to finish 43rd (11th vet 50) with Sean East not far behind in 46th (33rd Vet 40). Simon Cocker 51st (4th Vet 60) and Dave Millar 73rd (6th Vet 60)
