A strong cool easterly wind slowed nearly all the riders in the 6th round of the 10 mile handicap league with only 3 of the older stronger riders managing an improvement on the evening.
In the absence of the usual fastest riders Triathlete Mick Ryan took advantage to improve by 36 seconds to take the win in 24.45 both on actual time and handicap time from Bill Harrison 25.20 also second in both competitions.
Third overall was first Juvenile Peter Cocker a further 12 second behind with Graham Jenks third on handicap and steadily improving in his first season.
Reece Egner the youngest rider in the competition still leads the handicap series overall on 36 points but Mick Ryan is starting to fight back on behalf of the more mature rider moving up into second with 29 pts and Kim Paxton third on 23 pts and third lady.
