With the overall positions decided it was the final race evening with each handicap group racing for individual prizes over an 8 mile course at Withern (near Alford) which was flat, apart from a rise up to the finish plus a stiff breeze and a lot of harvest traffic thrown in for good measure.
Mixed fortunes for club riders on the night with Simon Cocker taking 3rd in group 2 after just failing to overhaul John Clark from Lincoln Whs on the line for second place.
In group 3 Toby Kiely rode well to finish in the bunch, Peter Cocker riding on restricted schoolboy gears found the pace to quick on the downhill back wind section and with a loosening bottle cage decided to retire as did Peter Barnes also from group 3. In group 4 Paul Conneely punctured and also retired.
In the overall league standings final positions for 2010 were as follows, which means that after Jim Coleman winning in 2008 and Neil Sentence in 2009 we have had to relinquish the trophy.
