Eight wobblies made the start line for the Aisthorpe LL road race on a warm spring evening - Peter Barnes, Kim Paxton, Neil Sentance, Paul Conneely, Phil Etches, Jimmy Coleman, Phil Atherton and Tony Mendham.
With Group 3 being given a generous handicap they were never caught by groups 4 and 5. Three wobblies benefitted by this and got in the points, Paul C 4th, Phil E 6th and Neil S 9th. Jimmy finished about 30 secs behind group 3 with the remnants of groups 4 and 5.
