3 February - 40 Mile Reliability

A dry but
cold morning saw another good turn out for the 3rd reliability
trial on a 40 mile course out to Heckington and back. The 29 riders
split into 3 groups spread over 20 minutes all found it hard work
with no respite on the east/west course from the very strong southerly
wind. Route»
Yet again Jom Coleman proved the strongest being the only rider
to break 2 hours, with the only 2 riders who attempted to stay
with him, Dave Ostler and Nigel Podham being dropped by 6 minutes
at the finish.
All riders did well in the conditions with special mention to
Paul Letchworth and Toby Kiely for persevering in only the third
rides of their first season.
Next ride is on Sunday 10th Feb with distance
increasing to 50 miles on a course down to Castle Bytham, crossing
the A1 and returning via Ashwell. First group leaves the market
