A sea of Witham Wheelers blue hit the front at the finish of the 7th Handicap Road Race excellently promoted by Tony Mendham.
With the handicapping working out well for once, the scratch group finally got to the front on the last lap, but only after a long hard chase.
5 club riders finished in the top 10 with Jim Coleman 2nd, Tom Mendham 3rd, Neil Sentance 5th, Anthony Conneely, 6th and Dave Ostler 7th. Other club riders taking part were Paul Conneely, Nigel Podham, Steve Bunn, Richard Edwards, Peter Barnes, Martin Hedley and Kim Paxton.
The event was won by promising Junior Ben Dunn.
Up to date positions for the League are awaited but Paul Conneely, Jim Coleman and Tom Mendham are holding positions in the top 10.
