A good turn out for the Lincs League Handicap Road Race promoted by the Witham Wheelers.

Anthony Conneeley, riding only his second road race since starting to ride again, almost took full advantage of starting in the first group, only being caught by the scratch group on the final hill with only a mile to go, in the 36 mile event.

The scratch group had earlier caught the other groups with 12 miles to go with Jim Coleman one of the main driving forces. However the finishing sprint was taken by Keith Middleton from Lincoln after Jim attacked too early on the hill before the finish for 6th place with Tom Mendham 7th and Dave Ostler 12th in the lead group.
