Latest results from the Grantham drag strip.
A cold northerly wind with dark clouds threatening rain made a change
from the usual cold westerly wind with dark clouds threatening rain.
However the change in wind direction brought improvements all round
from previous weeks.
In the absence of Shaun Culpin visitor Mark Colclough from Sleaford
proved the fastest with Spen beating Stricko by the smallest of margins
for runner up.
Kev Flint took the weeks handicap award, although was sure he lost at
least a minute by stopping pedalling too early by a car parked randomly
in the finish straight. Better luck next week Kev.
Simon Cocker also accepted that his new (pre-owned) aluminium framed
Trek does appear to represent an improvement on a 25 year old 531SL
steel frame, a sad moment but that's progress. Next stop Tri-bars.
Special note to the council who have now marked the largest disc
swallowing craters with white paint so action can be expected soon on
the roadworks front.
(Next week Interclub 25 so no club 10)
