Once again as the riders gathered on Gorse Lane the weather was dry
although
a fresh Southwesterly wind and an overcast sky did not make ideal conditions
for this 4th league 10.
The chilly conditions may have been responsible
for
the disappointing turnout with only 11 riders signing on for the 7pm start.
First away was Ben Smith who was no doubt slowed by the wind completing
the
course in just over 34 minutes a little slower than his best this year.
Following Ben up the road were the steadily improving Witham Wheelers
faithful with another good ride by Tom Mendham (25:58), Jon Spendlow (24:24)
and Dave Strickson (24:01).
