A good turnout of riders and spectators for the BBQ 10.
OK it wasn't a
real BBQ but a Burger Van, however they did a very nice
Pork and
stuffing roll funded by the club and washed down by a pint
or two made
a very pleasant change.
Back to the racing and the Gorse Lane drag strip reverted
to type with
a strong westerly wind slowing everyone down, at least it
didn't rain.
However it was night of several firsts for the year: Shaun
Culpin did
not win - however Spen and Stricko had to ride a 2-up to
beat him and
the margin was only 19 seconds, so it looks like Shaun keeps
the psychological upper hand.
Chris and John on their new Tandem - respectable time, although
they
must have just been getting warmed up after only 10 mile.
Dick Nightingale on a Trike - why - 2 wheels are hard enough.
Rob Howbrook on fixed wheel
- not the best of nights to
give this idea
a try.
Louise Day - bruised several male egos with a good ride,
but where did
she get that tan? Ben Smith - became a teenager and very
nice cake it
was too. Times:
