A good night at the Airfield, unfortunately the start of the school
holidays reduced the U16 race to just 2 riders with Ben recording a
clear win from Peter
Schoolboys 10 minutes + 1 lap 11mins 4sec

Seniors 30 minutes + 1 lap
12 riders took to the line in the senior event with 1 minute separating
the 2 groups. With the impetuosity of youth Patrick Owen jumped away
from the scratch group on the first lap and time trialled the entire
race to finish up a clear winner. This left the rest of the scratch
group a hard ride to catch the limit group, which working quite well
held them of until there were just 2 laps to go. Several attempts to
get away from the bunch by Dave Strickson were quickly neutralised,
leaving Richard Ellingworth to take a close sprint for 2nd place.
