Results 2005 — Time trials

14th June 2005 | 7th league 10 mile Time Trial

A difficult evening with roadworks to boot

It was a big thanks to Gorden (again) for rescuing what could have been a wasted evening as road works have started at the top end of Gorse Lane and it was only a last minute course modification that allowed the event to go ahead. A strongish breeze from the southwest and an uphill start had most riders gasping within the first 100yds and times were somewhat varied. Spendlow continued his run of fast rides with a 24:48 and Dave Ostler put up a very competitive 25:52 despite the conditions. Road works are expected to last at least a further 3 weeks so stand by for some last minute changes in the coming weeks.

There are only 3 photos this week due to technical difficulties but hopefully if I run to some new batteries normal service will be resumed next week!

Just a reminder as well for those who are helping out in the coming weeks, or if you would like to help, the Open 10 at Long Bennington is on the 18th and the Lincs League road race is on the 22nd. Dave Herd and Tony Mendham are organising the events and I’m sure they would be grateful for more willing volunteers.
