LRRA Prize Presentation 9th Feb 2020 & List of Winners

The Lincs Road Racing Association held its annual prize presentation at Wellingore memorial hall, Despite Storm Ciara battering the country there was a still good attendance of prize winners from across the county.

Present from Witham Wheelers were Michael Smalley our very own Supervet who collected the

  • 1st Veterans short distance Best All Rounder on standard
  • 1st Veteran on standard at 10, 25, 30 and 50 miles
  • 7th overall on speed in the Short Distance BAR

He only missed out on the 100mile  this year having failed to register his ride in time with the Association. Hopefully he should rectify this in 2020 as he plans to take on the 100 mile and 12 hour rides.
Michael also won with Simon Cocker the Veterans 2-up team Time Trial on standard.

Not present but also winning awards was Karl Baillie 2nd actual in the 20 mile and first novice in the 50

List of the winners in this years LRRA competitions, which are the Lincolnshire Time Trial Championships, the big winner as far as the club is concerned is Michael Smalley who cleaned up all the Veterans awards on Standards, including a new record at 25 miles.
Karl Baillie and Simon Cocker also picked up a couple of awards.
A reminder that the annual Prize Presentation Event is being held on Sunday 9th February, the presentation starting at 12.00am.
The venue will be Wellingore Memorial Hall, as earlier this year.
The ticket price will be £5.00 including a light buffet lunch, tea, coffee and soft drinks.
18 year old and under prize winners are free.
Everyone needs to book with me for the event.
There are 57 award/certificate winners on the attached list, it would be lovely to see most of them there, as well as having the much appreciated support of the other cyclists who come along from clubs across the county, to applaud the winners and have an off-season meet up.
Please pass this information around your members.
Best wishes
