Despite a hard frost covering the roads early Sunday morning there was still a good turn out of 45 riders for the third of the Witham Wheelers series of reliability rides.
 With the route taking in 39 miles and climbs at Easton, Harby, Stathern, Woolsthorpe and Denton most of the riders opted for a steady start and the different groups kept together well until the final hill at Denton, after which those with any energy left raced back down Gorse Lane to the finish and a well earned hot drink and cake. With all the riders safely navigating the icy roads the bright sunny morning made for a very enjoyable ride as well as the achievement of personal targets.
The next ride on Sunday 22nd Jan is a relatively flat route from Colston Bassett with the first group leaving at the earlier time of 9.00 from the Cricket Club on Gorse Lane, all welcome.
