The first 32 mile ride of the Witham Wheelers 2012 Reliability Ride series took place on New Years Day with 54 riders tempted by the mild weather and dry conditions plus a late 10.00 am start to help those out celebrating the night before.
The riders of similar ability were split into 4 groups which mostly managed to stay together for the first relatively flat 25 miles of the circuit to Saltby, Waltham on the Wolds, Harby and Redmile. However the climbs up to Belvoir Castle then Woolsthorpe and Denton spread the groups out as riders headed back for tea and cakes at the HQ.
Sunday 8th Jan the next ride starts from the Cricket Club on Gorse Lane. A 40 mile circuit down to Whissendine and back.
