Reliability Rides 2010 - 48m 14 February 2010

A wet start to the morning did not deter 30 riders from tackling the 48 mile reliability taking in a route to Castle Bytham, Ashwell and back via Wymondham.
Despite poor road conditions and several cold rain showers nearly all riders completed the ride on schedule. Again John and Christine Hill led the way on the tandem for an average 12mph. Group 2 kept together well helping riders get used to the longer distances at an even 15mph pace. Group 3 also rode well not losing any riders while keeping up a good average speed of 17.9mph. Group 4 lost Dave Strickson at the start with a puncture and 2 riders going off course early on, leaving the others to finish just over 19mph. Having fixed the puncture Dave carried on alone to finish in 17.9mph.
