Reliability Rides 2009 - 32 Miles 18 January

The 2009 series of Witham Wheelers reliability rides kicked of in style with a record 38 riders turning up at the Cricket Club on Gorse Lane to try out the new 32 mile route. The heavy rain and wind cleared through in the night to give conditions for the time of year and good times were achieved.

Group A averaged 13.7mph, Group B 16.7 mph, Group 3 19.2 mph and Group 4 22.4 mph.
With riders ranging in ability from Novice to 1st category Road Racer, the emphasis was for each group to try and finish together in the target times. By and large this was achieved and it is hoped that there will be another good turnout for the 40 mile on Sunday 25th Jan.

Note the slightly earlier start of 9.05, than previously published, for the first group again from the cricket club on Gorse Lane.
