10 Mile Handicap Time Trial League
The 10 mile handicap Time trial league is held every Tuesday night from April through to August with the odd exception, as detailed on the club 2012 Event Programme. Sign on to ride at the Cricket Club on Gorse Lane ideally by 6.30 with first man off at 6.45. All welcome (age 12 and over) to come and have a go, cost £3 for over 18s and £2 for under 18s. See these guidelines to help you get the most from your ride.

Club Open 10m Time Trial - Sat. 28th July
The club returns to promoting an open time trial after several years break with Kim Paxton promoting an Open 10 on the Sleaford/Osbournby course in the afternoon. A generous prize list is supported by www.pedalpushersbikeshop.co.uk, the ultimate Racing Bike shop. Kim is hoping for a big field with some top riders expected to take part.

Barkston Heath Youth Cycle Coaching
Are you the next Mark Cavendish or Bradley Wiggins? Grantham Cycle Club, Witham Wheelers is the leading club at the Barkston Heath Summer Cycle Coaching Series for youngsters age 7 and up to 16 years of age.  These coached sessions take place on alternate Wednesday evenings at Barkston Airfield on the High Dyke, near Ancaster.  The first one is next Wednesday 25th April 2012. Lincolnshire Handicap Road Race League 
This starts on Wednesday April 25th at Long Bennington and continues on alternate weeks on different circuits around Lincolnshire. They are promoted under the rules of the TLI organisation and are entered on the evening. They can be ridden by non TLI members but you pay a bit extra on the night. Races are usually around 30 miles long and are a good way of trying out road racing. Brief event details are on the club event calendar and TLI information can be found at www.
Witham Wheelers organises it's round on June 29th with the HQ at the cricket club and the race starting at 7.00 on the Club road race circuit.

Track Racing
There are two relatively local tracks which have weekly leagues; Mansfield (Mondays) Scunthorpe (Fridays). If anyone is interested in having a go, contact Simon Cocker or Clive Baillie for more information, lifts might be available on the evening. Racing is quite informal on the night and good way of learning bike handling skills and developing a fast smooth pedalling action. The club has some track bikes which can be borrowed.

New Circuit Race League in Lincolnshire
The high demand for events in the area, particularly for Youth riders, is to be satisfied by a season long competition providing separate events for Youth CDE, Youth AB, 4th category, Ladies and 2/3/4 categories. A series of 7 dates to ensure at least one local event every month from March through to September, will be held under British Cycling regulations.
The series is sponsored by Pedal Pushers and the races will be held at the Barkston Heath circuit and the Yarborough Leisure Centre, Lincoln.

Witham Wheelers Open Road Races - 15 July
Witham Wheelers promotes its two annual British Cycling Road Races with the 3/4 category GT Ellingworth event in the morning and the E/1/2/3 GA Bennett in the afternoon. These are for British Cycling racing licence holders although riders are able to pay extra for a day licence. 
The course is the club Road Race course with the HQ at the Cricket Club on Gorse Lane. The race is deneutralised for 3 miles until the course proper is reached at Wyville. The complete lap is approximately 12 miles on roads which are generally quiet and narrow in places. Profile is rolling with the main hill around 1 mile before the finish line. Race Information»
